Guidelines for participating in Wise Vision competitions

Welcome to Wise Vision Competitions

Wise Vision has brought a first ever competition of its kind, we invite you to write/produce creative content in multiple categories. Please read all rules carefully before submitting your entry.

Competition Categories

Essays & Writing

  • Personal accounts or articles
  • Maximum: 500 words
  • Languages: English & Urdu
📖

Short Stories

  • Fiction or non-fiction
  • Maximum: 1000 words
  • Languages: English & Urdu
🎥

Videos

  • Documentaries or creative videos
  • Maximum: 2 minutes
  • Languages: English & Urdu

Rules for Writing Submissions

Language & Format

Entries can be in English and Urdu both. All manuscripts must be preferably typed or hand written on A4 size paper. Each page must be consecutively numbered.

Originality

All essays, stories and videos must be original and any borrowed ideas or language must be duly cited. AI generated content is strictly forbidden and such entry will be disqualified.

Author Information

Name of the author should be given at the end of the entry along with the word count. In videos there should be proper author and camera effects team names.

Plagiarism Policy

Any entry can be disqualified if suspected to be plagiarized.

Entry Retention

Entries will not be returned, please keep a copy of your submitted work.

Publication Rights

WiseVision Magazine retains one-time nonexclusive publication rights to the Grand Prize and top winning entries to be published in it.

Disqualification

Ineligible entries will be disqualified.

Rules for Video Submissions

Video Length & Format

The length of the video should not exceed more than 2-minutes in length. All entries must be submitted in digital format.

Citations & Sources

All information presented in the video must be cited, giving credit to the original source. You DO NOT need to include your citations in your video. IF CHOSEN AS A FINALIST, you must submit a list of your sources, properly cited.

Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism of any kind will result in disqualification.

Copyrighted Materials

No copyrighted materials (music, images, etc.) may be used for this contest unless you own the copyright or have a license to use the material for this contest. Written permission must be obtained and provided upon request for all copyrighted materials.

Judging Process

The video recordings uploaded on the website will be judged by a jury panel and the best three participants will be duly selected.

Video Quality

Your video should be in Landscape position and recorded in a good quality resolution.

Agreement

By entering the contest, the artist agrees with the rules mentioned above and the decisions of the Selection Committee. Their decision shall be final and is not subject to appeal.
